this guy wanted to upload some new character pictures for the character lambo.  okay….BUT:

• he makes a new thread instead of posting in the “CHARACTER AND PEOPLE IMAGE CHANGE” thread
• posts a ton of shitty images, implying that they are better than what the character currently has
• then posts a bunch of fanart
• requests for an image to be removed solely because it “LOOKS GAY”

We’ve Been Completely Out-Frustrated

Last night, I witnessed the most gargantuan display of anger, frustration, and butthurt I had ever seen on the Internet. And I browse /jp/ every single day.

I said I wouldn’t single people out in an earlier post but god damn, this was too entertaining. I run by a creed that I will generate as little conflict on MAL as possible, but this is my blog, so fuck it.

MAL Rant 2: Spam

This little tidbit is going to have a good amount of “BACK IN MY DAY…” and “WHEN I WAS A YOUNG LAD…”. I understand that is rather annoying and discouraging to new members of a community (I felt it myself my first couple of months on MAL) so if you don’t think you would enjoy reading about me rubbing my dick all over the old days, stop here. This post also doesn’t have much of a point besides the fact that I just want to complain about Spam. So it will sound like rambling.

when i first joined mal, i didn’t realize i would actually take part in its community. before i joined, i was extremely timid and scared to establish myself on online communities. because i wanted to add furude rika to my favorites list, i timidly made a request for her addition in the long-locked “request a character add” thread. i was so petrified of posting something wrong that i previewed my post countless times before i finally sucked it up and pressed the submit button. she, along with the other characters i requested, were added smoothly, and i didn’t do anything wrong. after that, i decided posting wasn’t so scary and started trying to make friends.

MAL Needs a Literacy Test or Something

I forgot to mention in the first post that I am not a good writer and I am not witty. So anything I bitch about will probably be short and boring. This is the first legitimate post so I tried harder than I normally would ヽ(・∀・)ノ Expect future posts to probably not exceed 200 words.

This blog was made so I can complain about one thing the most: MyAnimeList.net. Now most of you are probably aware that I’m an Anime DB mod (seeing as the only place I’ve linked this is MAL) but sorry, nothing I’m complaining about will be sensitive information. This means anything from personal details about fellow staff members, inner site workings, Xinil’s favorite food, or Boursk’s favorite sex position. I also won’t single out any users I may be annoyed with because that would be mean and I am a nice guy. A very angry and whiny nice guy.

Now, the topic at hand is simple. A lot of people on MAL are incredibly stupid. This is something any well-adjusted person who has been on the site for a week could probably tell you. MAL’s community is often made fun of by other anime communities because of that fact; /a/ in particular seems to be rather tsundere for the site. MAL is particularly difficult to moderate for many reasons.
