So I woke up this morning to see that I have lost internet connection. Now, I figured it was only a temporary thing and it would be back up after breakfast. Sadly, it was more rage inducing than that.

IT IS 102F IN SAN JOSE RIGHT NOW.

MY BRAIN IS OPTIMIZED FOR TEMPERATURES BELOW 90F.

THIS IS NOT A FUCKING COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT.

FUCK IT. I AM NOT PRODUCTIVE TODAY.

• he makes a new thread instead of posting in the “CHARACTER AND PEOPLE IMAGE CHANGE” thread
• posts a ton of shitty images, implying that they are better than what the character currently has
• then posts a bunch of fanart
• requests for an image to be removed solely because it “LOOKS GAY”

Ross Douthat’s latest opinion piece with the New York Times has left me a little bothered, especially in terms of the implications of his advocacy.

I might be a bit frustrated at him.

Fucking Frustrated With Your Bitchings, Bro

First of all, a happier note: congrats to everybody affected by the Proposition 8 ruling recently passed in California. This wasn’t a strikedown of a ban – it was a reaffirmation that the right to love is universal to all human beings, regardless of sexual orientation.  The fact that the California government would have been demanded to interfere directly and preemptively in the personal relationships of its citizens should have been an affront to the state’s and nation’s conservatives and libertarians – the fact that it was, in the end, the liberals and progressives that would uphold a conservative stance on the universality of human rights, a position stemming from the days of John Locke, and a strict interpretation of the US Constitution will remain on the records as one of the biggest moments of social and political irony in the nation’s history.

And the moment when the so-called “conservatives” were seen for the theological fascists they are – worse, one of the few times when the use of the word “Fascism” is contextually and formally appropriate. Great going guys. Really. Only, not.

But enough of that. I’m pissed off that Proposition 8 got passed in the first place. I’m pissed off whenever its kin elsewhere gets passed, whenever its opposites fail to pass, and whenever asstards from the Newt Gingrich School of Opportunistic Conservatism are allowed to make a mockery of the country’s ideals and win elections off of their ideologically suspect, rationally specious and grossly self-serving positions.

And I blame you, those of you that agree with my sociopolitical inclinations, for allowing them to have gained so much sway over the dumb and unthinking masses.

We’ve Been Completely Out-Frustrated

Last night, I witnessed the most gargantuan display of anger, frustration, and butthurt I had ever seen on the Internet. And I browse /jp/ every single day.

I said I wouldn’t single people out in an earlier post but god damn, this was too entertaining. I run by a creed that I will generate as little conflict on MAL as possible, but this is my blog, so fuck it.

You are (not) an Otaku.

I think one of my biggest annoyance with the anime/manga community (aside from the arrogant douchebaggery) are people who PROCLAIM to be an Otaku. I don’t think people really understand the concept of the world otaku, so aside from my rage, I will explain what it means to be an otaku.

SUMMER! WHAR HAEV U GOEN!

So, with about a month or so left of summer before I start school again, I have to ask…WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY SUMMER! It sucks coming to the realization that all my summer goals were not accomplished and any form of plans that I had for the summer didn’t happen. Basically, instead of being productive, I just sat on my ass all day doing nothing.

I love public transportation

Here in Canada, we use something called the bus. There are various levels of public transportation here, the regional one which pretty much covers 3-4 neighbouring cities/towns, the provincial one which doesnt actually cover the entire province of Ontario but it runs through most of the GTA area which is Toronto and all its neighbouring cities and towns in a wide area, then comes the usual coach buses which will take you pretty much anywhere. But thats enough of explanations, today im talking about the regional transit system from where I live called “Durham Transit”.
